Benefits

A Yes/No poll is the fastest way to get clarity from your team. Whether you're deciding on a meeting, a process change, or a team activity, the simple format removes friction and gets you answers fast.

With just one click, people can respond, helping you make confident decisions without a drawn-out discussion.

How to set up a Geekbot Yes/No poll

  • Choose your Audience

    • Pick from two options to define who receives the poll:

      • Direct Users: Select individuals to receive the poll via DM

      • Slack Channel: Post the poll in a public channel where all members can respond

  • Schedule your poll (best used on demand)

  • Determine who can see the Results:

    • Make responses visible to everyone (either live or once the poll closes)

    • Restrict visibility (so only you can see results)

    • Enable anonymous responses (available for any poll/survey)

When you're all set, hit Publish. Geekbot will ping your team as per your delivery settings and responses will arrive soon enough. 🎉

Best practices

  • Use the format whenever you need a quick decision (and if you’re checking on the same topic regularly, make it a recurring poll)

  • Keep questions short and direct (so it’s easy to answer with a clear Yes or No)
