Congratulations! This is a big moment. Creating your first standup with Geekbot: let's breathe, now we begin 🤖
To create a new standup, you first have to go to your Geekbot dashboard (as this is your first standup — and assuming you're not a participant in any other standup — you'll arrive at the Geekbot templates page).
Here, you can browse through a selection of predefined standups and surveys to find the report that best fits your needs. If you want something a little more bespoke, you can always 'Build your own' report from scratch...

Already A Standup Participant? Read On.
If you're already participating in a standup and you want to create a new one, you'll arrive at the dashboard homepage.
From here, click the
+ New Standup button in the top right corner.
Alternatively, you can go to the menu bar and click the
+ New Standup button there.
Once clicked, you will see the templates page we mentioned earlier. Now, you can choose the template that best suits your needs.
If you select a template, you only need to configure a few settings like the report name, schedule, the channel you'd like to broadcast updates to, and the members you want to participate.
If you choose to create a custom standup or survey, there are a few more settings you can configure, feel free to adjust the report exactly as you please.
Once you're done, always hit
Save to apply all your settings and create your standup... and there you have it!
Creating a standup is as simple as that 🎉
Geekbot will alert team members to the new report, sending a short message both to the broadcast channel as well as each participant. Expect a warm welcome 👋 alongside the details of when the first standup will take place.
