Creating a Geekbot standup is simple. Follow a few short steps, and you'll have your first one up-and-running. Let's dive right in. πŸ€–

To create your new standup:

  1. Click the plus (+) symbol under My Standups.

  2. Pick the template that fits your needs or, if you want something more bespoke, click 'Build your own' to start from scratch: custom standups offer a blank canvas, letting you apply settings to fit your exact use case.

✨ Auto-save drafts

As you configure your standup, Geekbot periodically saves your changes. You'll see an indicator displaying the most recent save timestamp, so you'll know exactly when your changes were secured.

This way, you can take your time perfecting the standup without worrying about losing any adjustments and avoiding sending notifications to your team.

Ready? Time to publish your work

When you're ready, click 'Publish'. This tells Geekbot to apply your settings and start the standup. Now, the bot will tell participants about the new standup, sending a short message both to the broadcast channel as well as each person.

Expect a warm welcome πŸ‘‹ alongside the details of when the first standup will take place. You can leave the rest to Geekbot and focus on what matters. ✨
